Completion Grant
The K-State Completion Grant is sponsored through the generosity of the Vanier family and is a gift aid program. This one-time grant is designed to assist undergraduate students who are approaching graduation and who have a remaining university tuition and fees balance for the required completion terms after all other aid is applied.
Eligibility Consideration
Grants may be awarded to students who:
- Are admitted to a degree program and are enrolled in courses at K-State;
- Have and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or higher;
- Are within a year of graduating (2 semesters or 3 if including summer) with their first bachelor’s degree as documented by a degree audit and academic advisor graduation plan;
- Have documented financial need as shown on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and,
-
Have utilized all available aid, including Pell and Direct Student Loans (subsidized and unsubsidized.)
Award amounts will vary and be determined by the committee based on the student's eligibility and circumstance but will not exceed $3,000 a semester. Completion Grants are considered a ‘last dollar’ award and must be used to pay existing or upcoming charges on a student’s University account after all other awards are applied. Once awarded, if students receive additional funds from other sources (state, federal, institutional) the Completion Grant may be reduced or canceled entirely where the new aid now covers tuition and fees.
Funds are limited and once the available funds have been awarded for a given fiscal year, no additional students may be considered.
How to apply
To be considered for this financial aid program, students must:
