Robert E. Campbell Scholarship

Robert E. Campbell Scholarship

Robert “Bob” Campbell, a first-generation student, studied business administration at K-State via the GI Bill after serving in WWII with the United States Army Air Corps (a precursor to the U.S. Air Force). After his 1950 graduation from the College of Business, he sold bonds before launching his own company, Robert E. Campbell Oil and Gas Operations, in 1963, which he operated for 56 years.

The Campbell Scholarship is awarded to a select group of high-achieving, academically talented students in the University Honors Program (UHP) at K-State. The UHP expects Campbell Scholars to be actively engaged in honors’ events, hold leadership roles in the community, and serve as unofficial ambassadors for the program. In their first year, Campbell Scholars will live in Honors housing in the Strong Complex.

Finalists will be selected by a committee of campus and community leaders. There will be a recognition event including a luncheon and other special activities. Parents and family members are encouraged to attend.
