Wildcat Nonresident Award
The Wildcat Nonresident Award is a scholarship pathway available for all states and abroad, no ACT/SAT needed. If you are a domestic or international degree-seeking Manhattan or Salina campus student who enrolls in at least 12 credit hours for the fall and spring semesters, you may be eligible.
This award is available to incoming students who are starting at K-State in summer 2024, fall 2024 or later.
Freshman Eligibility
The Wildcat Nonresident Award measures your cumulative high school GPA on a 4.0, unweighted or weighted scale per your sixth semester. You can provide an unofficial transcript or self-reported cumulative GPA at the time of application and your official transcript following your high school graduation. This award does not consider ACT/SAT scores.
Feb. 1 - Deadline to submit seventh semester transcript and ACT/SAT test scores for scholarship upgrade.

Renewal Requirements
If renewal eligibility is met, the award may be renewed for up to three additional years (four years, eight semesters total). If you are enrolled in a five-year program within the College of Architecture, Planning & Design you may be able to renew your academic merit award for up to three additional years (four years, eight semesters total.)
- Maintain a minimum K-State cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Maintain continuous, full-time enrollment for each fall and spring semester
- Complete a minimum of 24 K-State credit hours for each academic year (fall/spring)
Transfer Student Eligibility
You must send your cumulative transfer GPA from all previous post-secondary institutions attended. Offer of the award is contingent upon receipt of official college transcripts from all institutions attended, confirming the student's eligibility.

If you are enrolled in a five-year program within the College of Architecture, Planning & Design you may be able to renew your academic merit award for up to three additional years (four years, eight semesters total).
