Andy Thompson (he, him) - Assistant Vice President and Senior Associate Dean

Andy has been director of the office since 2020. He chairs the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT), and co-adivses the Judical Branch of the Student Governing Association who adjudicates complaints of the Student Code of Conduct.
Prior to his work in Student Support & Accountability, Andy spent his career in the department of Housing and Dining Services at K-State as the Residence Life Coordinator of Marlatt Hall. Andy earned his Master's of Education in Counselor Education from Clemson University and his Bachelor's of Science in Recreation Administration from Eastern Illinois University. Throughout his career he has enjoyed working with students on a variety of issues and helping them navigate the university experience.
His professional interests include helping students find success in their academics and personal life, collaboration across the university for student success, and helping students find their passion at the university.

Laurel Moody (she, her) - Sr. Assistant Dean

Laurel came to K-State in 2006 for her undergraduate studies, fell in love with Manhattan and has been here since. She received a degree in journalism and minor in leadership studies and began working at K-State in 2010. Laurel was the Office Manager for the office from 2012 to 2016, during which time she received her master's degree in academic advising. She has served as Assistant Dean since 2016.
Laurel supervises the Student Support Coordinators, Case Managers, and Center for Advocacy, Response, and Education (CARE) office. She also serves on the President's Commission on Gender Equity.
Laurel works with students in the College of Engineering, Business Administration, and APDesign. Her interests include providing support for students, conflict resolution, policy and process development, and reducing barriers for students and staff.

Janelle Rieger (she, her) - Assistant Dean

Janelle is a K-State alum with a degree in Biology. She also holds a master's degree in Education from Fort Hays State University which she attained during her 14-year tenure as a secondary life science teacher.
Janelle came to the office as a Student Services Coordinator in the fall of 2021 before being promoted to Assistant Dean. She is a co-chairperson of the University's Early Assessment & Reporting committee and supervises the Absence Verification Specialist. She also serves on the President's Committee on Religious, Spiritual, and Nonreligious Diversity.
Janelle works with students in the College of Agriculture and Arts & Sciences. Her interests include developing relationships with campus partners that will reflect in the wellbeing of students and supporting students as they navigate their way through all types of adverse experiences.

Allison Coleman (she, her) - Assistant Dean

Alli serves as an Assistant Dean and the Director of Conduct. Her role includes co-advising the Judicial Branch of the Student Governing Association, and adjudicating policy related concerns with students and student organizations.
Alli received her bachelor's degree from Ball State University in Health Science, with minors in Public Health and Spanish. She also has her master's degree in Counselor Education from Clemson University. Prior to joining Student Support & Accountability, Alli worked for K-State in Housing and Dining Services as the Community Coordinator for Marlatt Hall. Alli's professional interests include building an inclusive campus environment, crisis management, and supporting students through the highs and lows of their collegiate experience.

Kimberley YBarra (she, her) - Coordinator

Serving the K-State family since 2022, Kimberley is on a mission as a catalyst for change to make higher education more accessible for all by supporting students from where they stand in their journey to making a difference in their personal and academic lives. As a first-generation college student, she is a strong advocate for speaking up about student needs, and taking the time to unpack the many factors impacting student success. She earned her B.S in Sociology and M.Ed. in Higher Education – College Student Affairs Leadership from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI.
Prior to Kansas State University, Kimberley has worked in the areas of health equity and education, grassroots engagement, coalition building, collective impact, leadership, membership services, and organizational development.
Kimberley supervises student staff in the office, executes the student of concern referral process, and provides administrative support for the policies the office oversees.

Devan Walker (she, her) - Coordinator

Devan joined the team in August 2023 as a student life coordinator. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University where she earned her bacherlor's degree in human development and family studies with minors in both psychology and diversity and inclusion.
Previously Devan has worked at the reservations coordinator at the K-State Student Union and as a volunteer at a domestic abuse hotline. Devan's professional interests include empowering students to advocate for themselves to achieve their version of academic and personal success.
Devan helps supervise student staff in the office and initates outreach to students through the student of concern referral process, as well as providing administrative support for the policies the office oversees.

Amy Hall (she, her) - Absence Verification Specialist

Amy has worked in the office in short-term appointments since 2020 and has now joined in a long-term capacity as the Absence Verification Specialist. She has increased efficiencies and consistency within our absence verification procedures and helped streamline the process for students and faculty.
Amy received her Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Her professional interests include connecting students to helpful resources to maximize their academic and personal success, and teaching self-advocacy skills.

Kayleigh Smith (she, her) - Case Manager

Working as a case manager, she strives to advocate for and encourage students to skill build and problem solve to begin making progress to accomplish goals within their personal and academic lives.
Prior to her work in the office, Kayleigh worked as a Permanency Case Manager in a foster care system and as a Youth Case manager in mental Health. Kayleigh Graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Youth and Adolescents, from Pittsburg State University in May of 2021. Kayleigh also shares a passion for coaching youth in gymnastics and continues to coach recreationally at a local gym.
Her professional interests include helping individuals reach success through skill building and problem solving while assisting them to make progress on goal planning and achievement. Her favorite quote is, “You cannot make a super star in one hour, it takes time, practice, and patience.” -Unknown

Stef Delatorre (she, her) - Case Manager

Working as a case manager, her hope is to meet students where they are and be ready to help them take their next steps in order to meet their personal and academic goals. Case Management aims to provide support for students through challenging and complex situations, connecting students with resources and fostering self-advocacy through individualized planning.
Prior to her work in the office, Stef worked as a Crisis Case Manager in a Crisis Stabilization Unit for mental health and also has a strong background in healthcare. Stef attended Fort Hays State University for her undergraduate experience.
