Developing New Products & Technologies
The Technology Development Institute at Kansas State University provides a broad range of services and project management resources to both private industry and university researchers to advance the commercial readiness of new products and technologies.
TDI employs a number of industry experienced engineers and business professionals that work directly with our clients to identify tasks which need to be completed to move development projects forward. These tasks include:
- Assisting with intellectual property and commercialization of new products
- Product engineering and prototyping
- Design and fabrication of custom equipment
- Reverse engineering and facility scanning
Over the past 30 years, TDI has created an extensive network of organizations including university experts, patent attorneys, engineering service providers, prototyping specialists and manufacturers who we collaborate with to assist in moving products into the marketplace.
The Technology Development Institute is supported by the Economic Development Administration, U.S . Department of Commerce, through its University Centers Program.
