The K-State Wind Ensemble and Brass Ensemble perform tonight in McCain
The K-State Wind Ensemble and Brass Ensemble will present a special performance at 7:30 p.m. today in McCain Auditorium.
The K-State Wind Ensemble is the premier band at Kansas State University, made up of the finest student musicians on campus. The band will perform the works of Childs, O'Toole, Spaniola and Horovitz. Featured on this concert will be a new work by Billy Childs titled "Vistas of America." Also featured will be faculty clarinet soloist Tod Kerstetter on Horovitz's "Valdemosa."
The K-State Brass Ensemble also will perform conducted by graduate conducting students Adam Ladd and Alex Wimmer.
The K-State Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Frank Tracz. This concert is open to all and admission is free.
