Submitted by Communications and Marketing
A campus viewing party of the Planet Forward Summit in Washington, D.C. — featuring a panel of four CEOs — will start at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 30 with a local introduction by Raj Shah, U.S. Agency for International Development administrator, in the K-State Student Union's Big 12 Room.
The panel will discuss the topics of feeding 9 billion people by 2050, including global applications and partnering to feed the world.
Rick Leach, president and CEO of World Food Program, will moderate the panel, which will include:
- Chris Policinski, Land O’Lakes president and CEO
- Helene Gayle, CARE USA CEO
- Jeff Simmons, Elanco president
- Daniel Yohannes, Millennium Challenge Corporation president
"We believe this will be a great opportunity for students to hear from leaders on what they’re currently doing to ensure that we’ll be able to feed this growing population and creative solutions and sustainable practices to feed the planet," said A.J. Graves, community relations specialist for Land O’Lakes Inc.
Students may have the opportunity to submit questions during the panel and a Land O'Lakes representative will be at the viewing party to take questions.
