K-State faculty, staff discounts for the musical 'The Wedding Singer'
K-State faculty and staff always receive a $2 discount off tickets for K-State Theatre and K-State Dance productions. We also are offering an additional discount for the Saturday, Nov. 9, performance of "The Wedding Singer" at 7:30 p.m. in McCain Auditorium. Just mention that you are faculty or staff when ordering your tickets. Discounts cannot be applied to online orders.
Other performances are at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7 and 8 and at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 10.
Numerous faculty members from the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance are contributing to the success of this fun, lively musical. Dwight Tolar, assistant professor of theatre, will direct "The Wedding Singer." Musical direction is by Paul Hunt, associate professor of music; vocal coaching is by Amy Rosine, associate professor of music; choreography is by Jerry Jay Cranford, instructor of theatre; set design is by Kathy Voecks, associate professor of theatre; costume design is by Dana Pinkston, associate professor of theatre; sound design is by Kyle McGuffin, technical director at McCain Auditorium; and lighting design is by John Uthoff, associate professor of theatre. Music professor Wayne Goins will be performing in the orchestra. All performers are talented K-State students.
Tickets are $16 for the general public; $14 for seniors, faculty, staff and military; and $11 for students, plus tax and applicable fees. They can be purchased at the McCain Auditorium box office from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, by phone at 785-532-6428 or online. Extra fees will apply to phone and online orders. Nov. 9 is military night and faculty/staff night. These groups will receive an additional $2 discount. Seniors will receive an additional $2 discount on Sunday, Nov. 10, for the 2:30 p.m. matinee. These discounts cannot be applied to online orders.
