DeGroat to present at Western Academy of Management meeting
Art DeGroat, director of military affairs and doctoral student in educational leadership, has been accepted to co-present his research work, "The Role of Character in Health, Well-Being and Performance," in March 2014 at the Western Academy of Management meeting in Napa, Calif.
DeGroat is collaborating in an interdisciplinary research project with Thomas A. Wright, the Felix E. Larkin distinguished professor in management at the Fordham Schools of Business. DeGroat's work examines the role of character strengths within the preprofessional development and education of military officer students — ROTC cadets.
DeGroat and Wright will present this work as a workshop for management scholars interested in individual ethical development and agentic motivation applied research.
