Ameerah McBride joins affirmative action office

Ameerah McBride has joined K-State's affirmative action office as an investigator/deputy Title IX coordinator.
McBride, a native of Trenton, N.J., graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a bachelor's degree in political science. She also has a master's in administration of justice and security from the University of Phoenix and Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University. She holds several certifications in the area of dating and sexual violence prevention, victim interviewing and program evaluation.
Prior to joining the staff at Kansas State, McBride was an investigator with the Fulton County Department of Family and Children Services in Atlanta, Ga. Her previous experience also includes investigating discrimination complaints with the YWCA, mental health social work with prison health services, and advocacy with the Barton Child Law and Policy Center of Emory University.
