Canvas pilot is underway
Submitted by Information Technology Services
The spring 2014 Canvas extended pilot is underway at K-State. Canvas is a state-of-the-art learning management system that offers a variety of powerful and intuitive tools and provides an opportunity for K-State to evaluate a modern platform for interacting with students online.
A smaller pilot of Canvas was conducted during the fall 2013 semester, and it provided a lot of valuable information about how Canvas will meet K-State's learning management system needs.
The expanded spring 2014 pilot includes 50 instructors, 90 sections and more than 2,100 enrollments. The expanded pilot will give K-State the opportunity to further explore Canvas' features, develop training and support structures, integrate K-State services, and allow more faculty and students the opportunity to use Canvas and provide their feedback.
