New staff members join K-State Alumni Association
Two Kansas State University alumnae are the newest additions to the K-State Alumni Association's administrative and programs department staff.
Megan Jurgensmeier, who earned a degree in journalism and mass communications from K-State in 2011, was hired as associate director of membership. She will direct the alumni association's membership program as well as help coordinate the association's affinity business partnerships, program sponsorships, external advertising and oversee merchandise sales. Jurgensmeier previously worked at Summit Marketing in Lenexa and also worked with the Association as a Traditions Founders and fundraising events intern. She is a native of Topeka.
Amanda Brookover, who graduated from K-State in 2008 with a degree in family studies and human services, was hired as assistant director of student programs. She will manage student programming for the association and all homecoming activities for the university as well as serve as adviser for the Student Alumni Board and Wildcats Forever. A former member of Student Alumni Board, Brookover also earned a degree in counseling psychology from the University of Denver. She previously worked as an English teacher, camp counselor and clinical therapist. She is a native of Garden City.
