Johnson Cancer Research Center invites applications for spring semester awards
K-State's Johnson Cancer Research Center is now accepting applications for its spring semester awards.
The center supports the research and training of faculty, undergraduate and graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows through competitive award programs. All center-affiliated faculty are eligible to apply and sponsor applications of their students. Non-affiliated K-State faculty conducting cancer-relevant research are invited to become affiliates and apply for awards.
Innovative Research Awards provide seed money to gather preliminary data crucial for future major grant proposals. Other awards provide funds for equipment and travel to learn new scientific techniques or visit collaborators at other institutions. Awards for graduate students, including summer stipends and travel awards to present at professional meetings, are also available.
Award information and application forms are at cancer.k-state.edu/awards. The deadline for submission is Monday, March 3 (the regular deadline of March 1 falls on a Saturday).
