Cats in the Capitol is today, Feb. 19
The K-State office of governmental relations and the committee on governmental issues is hosting Cats in the Capitol today, Feb. 19, at the State Capitol in Topeka. This annual event is to celebrate K-State’s 151st birthday and recognize state leaders for their service and support of higher education in our state.
College displays will be featured on the first-floor rotunda in the Capitol building with students, faculty and staff providing information and answering questions about Kansas State University. As part of the celebration, we will acknowledge K-State alum Gov. Sam Brownback and the additional 23 K-State alumni who serve in the Kansas House of Representatives and Kansas Senate. A highlight of the event will be the appearance of Willie the Wildcat and serving Call Hall ice cream to legislators, legislative staff and visitors to the State Capitol.
