Roberta Maldonado-Franzen named interim director of affirmative action

Roberta Maldonado-Franzen has been selected as interim director of affirmative action at Kansas State University.
Franzen succeeds Clyde Howard, previous director of affirmative action. She started her new position Aug. 1. Franzen previously served as a program assistant in the College of Human Ecology with has experience in executive human resource team leadership for Target Corporation and manager of human resources for Pawnee Mental Health Services.
Franzen specializes in conflict resolution, affirmative action/EOE policies, coordination of search committee processes and human resource development. She earned her bachelor's degree from K-State in psychology and her master's degree from Central Michigan University in human resource administration.
