Professor to spend summer in Australia as visiting fellow
Dunja Peric, associate professor of civil engineering at Kansas State University, has been conferred the title of visiting fellow by the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, May 15-Aug. 15.
Peric will be working on collaborative research in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, which is currently ranked as the 18th best program in civil and structural engineering in the world. Her research will address instabilities and failures in variably unsaturated soils. Unsaturated soils are found above the ground water table and a significant amount of civil infrastructure has been built on the top of them throughout the world.
