Date with Hate 2014: Buffer the noise, hate
The Westboro Baptist Church will be protesting at the K-State College of Arts & Sciences' commencement ceremony at Bramlage Coliseum on Saturday, May 17.
Come join us at Date with Hate 2014 to help shield the graduates, relatives and friends from the Westboro Baptist Church protesters. To buffer the noise and hate of the group, we will form a line in-between the public and Westboro Baptist Church members along the sidewalk up to the northwest entrance to Bramlage around 7-7:30 a.m. with banners, flags, balloons and congratulatory signs.
Flint Hills Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, or PFLAG, will supply donuts. You are encouraged to create and bring your own banners, flags and signs of encouragement, love and acceptance for our K-State community.
Sponsored by Flint Hills PFLAG, Flint Hills Human Rights Project, K-State LGBT and Allies and the K-State Social Work Organization.
