As students moved out, more than 3,100 pounds of material recycled
Hello all recyclers.
The great support from the students who moved out in May enabled K-State to recycle more than 3,120 pounds of material.
More than 27 percent of the material went to the local food pantry and local agencies for distribution. Clothes, food, books and other material was all diverted from the landfill and put for future use. This was accomplished with great assistance from housing and dining personal. This was our first year for move out recycling, which we will continue to increase with great cooperation from all departments of Kansas State University.
Thanks,
Recycling staff
