Kansas State University's Sarah Cossey, a junior in biology, has received an Undergraduate Travel Award from the Genetics Society of America to present her work at the society's 16th International Conference on the Cell and Molecular Biology of Chlamydomonas.
"I am interested in cellular signaling and its role in the evolution of multicellularity," said Cossey, whose faculty mentor is Brad Olson, assistant professor of biology.
The society's Undergraduate Travel awards promote excellence in undergraduate research and education by providing financial assistance for undergraduate members to present their research at a society conference.
