Russell presents session at Institute of Transportation Engineers joint annual meeting

Eugene Russell, professor emeritus of civil engineering, presented "Eight-state pooled fund study on accommodating oversized, overweight (OSOW) vehicles at roundabouts" at the joint Midwestern-Western districts of the Institute of Transportation Engineers annual meeting June 29 to July 2 in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Russell also monitored a second session on roundabouts. The joint district annual meeting was a first for both districts and brought together more than 600 transportation professionals from several states from Missouri to California.
Russell is a fellow and life member of the institute, a charter member of the institute's Roundabout Committee and chair of the Transportation Research Board Roundabouts Committee. He also has conducted several research projects on roundabout safety and operations at K-State.
