Advising and career resources for K-State advisors, faculty and staff
As we prepare for the return of students and the beginning of the semester, the Academic and Career Information Center would like to share new resources with advisors and faculty/staff members. Please pass along these tools to new and returning K-State students as they choose their major, change their major or explore career paths.
Below you will find links to new and updated websites to assist you and the students you work with as they navigate their academic and career journey:
Late in the spring semester, Academic and Career Information Center created a curriculum guides page that links to all guides across campus. Also available on the curriculum guide page are tutorials:
- DARS what if tutorial: This new tool is for students using the DARS "What if" feature on iSIS.
- Degree Planner tutorial: This new tool is to help students utilize the degree planner feature in the K-State Catalog.
There is a new link to a Career and Education Planning Workbook that is a companion resource for the online career assessment used in the Academic and Career Information Center. It is available for all students to use, but most helpful after completing the Focus 2 career assessment in the Academic and Career Information Center.
The Plan it Out website draws key concepts from Academic/Career Decisions, EDCEP 120, and provides activities and exploration worksheets for students to use.
Space is still available in our Academic/Career Decisions, EDCEP 120, class for students who are seeking a helpful course to guide them to explore majors and career options.
As always, if students need assistance and would like to meet individually with a career specialist in the Academic and Career Information Center to explore options, please send them our way. For more information about the Academic and Career Information Center stop by or give us a call at 785-532-7494.
