Maximizing learning seminar features four K-State teaching faculty members
The Teaching and Learning Center and The Faculty Exchange for Teaching Excellence are hosting a stimulating seminar, "Brainstorming: Maximizing Learning in the K-State Classroom" from 3-4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, in Hale Library's Hemisphere Room.
Four accomplished teaching faculty will share a few of their most impactful approaches that help students gain particular learning skills and strategies that work in harmony of the brain's design.
Shannon G. Washburn, professor of communications and agricultural education, will present "How I Help My Students Think about Learning."
Laura Donnelly, assistant professor of dance in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, and Amit Chakrabarti, professor and physics department head will present "Crystalline Moments and Moving Science."
Judy Klimek, associate professor of anatomy and physiology, will present "How I Help Students Make Learning Stick."
