High school journalists visit campus
More than 450 high school journalism students will spend Tuesday, Sept. 23, on campus learning how to improve their skills at a Kansas Scholastic Press Conference.
The registered enrollment is the highest in several years. "It's a great way to show off K-State's communications program and the student media we have here," says Kelly Glasscock, assistant director of Collegian Media Group and the conference director. The students who attend come from high schools around the state.
The day features dozens of presentations and publications critiques by high school teachers, professionals and faculty from the A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
