Lecture about the settling influence of African people across the globe
Runoko Rashidi, anthropologist, historian and author, will present "The Settling Influence of African Peoples Across the Globe" at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 7 in the K-State Student Union Ballroom. Doors open at 7 p.m.
He researches what he calls the Global African Presence, or Africans outside of Africa before and after enslavement. He is the author and editor of 18 books.
A world traveler, Rashidi's major mission in life is the uplift of African people, those at home and those abroad. He also is featured in the documentary "Hidden Colors 2."
