Legleiter appointed as director of learning and development
As a continuation of communicating the status of the Division of Human Capital Services restructure, please congratulate Shanna Legleiter as the newly appointed director of learning and development.
Legleiter attained a master's degree in business education from Emporia State University and a bachelor's degree in organizational management from Friends University.
She has extensive experience in facilitation, training, Web-based training and program design. She was an adjunct professor at Friends University and taught online courses for Barton Community College. Most recently, Legleiter has contributed to the Division of Human Capital Services in a variety of leadership development and training initiatives, including facilitating the director’s round table.
As the director of learning and development, Legleiter is tasked with developing a strategic plan for learning and development using needs assessments and other methodologies to build the strategy. Her role will expand over time to include collaborating with others to further develop leadership development programs, Web-based training, career paths and onboarding.
The division also extends its appreciation to Julie Henton who will transfer to information technology services. Henton will lend her talent to information technology services on a variety of projects. We wish her well in her new assignment.
