K-State hosts career services conference
The Kansas Association of Colleges and Employers is hosting its annual conference Dec. 3-5 at the K-State Alumni Center.
More than 60 college and university career services professionals and regional employer recruiter representatives from Kansas and Missouri are expected to attend. Keynote speaker for the conference is Manny Contomanolis, director of Cooperative Education and Career Services at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY.
Other highlights include presentations from members on current topics pertaining to the college-educated workforce and speakers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Flint Hills Regional Council.
This is the first time in many years that the conference has been in Manhattan. Dana Nordyke and Pat Hudgins, Career and Employment Services, have represented K-State on the conference planning committee.
