K-State Mock Trial Team invites everyone to a scrimmage on Saturday
Submitted by Daralyn Gordon Arata, Esquire
On Saturday, Dec. 6, the K-State Mock Trial team will host a public scrimmage on campus. From 8 a.m. to noon, two mock trial teams will compete against their coaches, both of whom are practicing attorneys.
The morning trials will take place in the Little Theatre in the K-State Student Union. Spectators are welcome to join us during our lunch break, when both team members and coaches will be available to answer any questions about strategies or techniques during the trial. Afterward, from 1-5 p.m., the two student-led teams will compete against each other in Room 226 in the Union.
For anyone interested in attending law school or looking for insight on argumentation and persuasion techniques, these trials are a good simulation of what it's like to actually try a case as an attorney.
If you have any questions or want any additional information, please contact club president Arielle Monroe at ariellem@k-state.edu or vice president Hale Weirick at halew@k-state.edu. We hope to see you there.
