In Manhattan during spring break? Visit the Beach!
Even if you are spending spring break in Manhattan you can visit the beach — the Beach Museum of Art! Come take one final look at the wood carvings by Chet Peters. Walk among the stone structures in "Stan Herd: Cairns on the Beach." Travel to Quincy, Florida, and the Arizona Pima-Maricopa Indian Community in "Dean Mitchell: A Place, A Mental Space." Look for signs of spring in The Meadow, between the museum and All Faiths Chapel.
You also can check out the activities on the Exploration Station and in the ArtTotes. Just ask the gallery attendants where they are located.
The museum galleries are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. The museum is on the southeast corner of the K-State campus. Admission and parking are always free.
