ATID symposium to showcase juried exhibit, runway show and keynote
The two-day 11th annual Apparel, Textiles, and Interior Design Student Symposium kicks off on April 16 with the Showcase of Excellence, a juried show that includes a mounted exhibit and runway show of apparel and textile designs produced by Kansas high school and Kansas State University students.
The exhibit begins at 6 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn. The runway show starts at 7 p.m. Registration deadline is Monday, April 13. Tickets cost $10.
The theme of the symposium, sponsored by the department of apparel, textiles, and interior design in the College of Human Ecology, is Always Modern: Using Design to Connect People, Planet and Profit.
On Friday, April 17, David Bright, Knoll senior vice president of communications, will present the keynote address at 1 p.m. in the K-State Student Union's Ballroom. The presentation is free and open to the public.
