Take a selfie with a K-State celebrity at K-State's Open House
Submitted by K-State Social Media Services
K-State is adding a new and fun way to incorporate social media into the annual open house tradition with the #KStateSelfieChallenge.
Selfie Stations will be set up at the 13 different passport locations across campus from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11. Participants have the chance to snap a selfie with K-State celebrities, including President Kirk Schulz, Dean Pat Bosco, Miss K-State and Willie the Wildcat. Celebrity appearances will be announced on K-State social media the morning of open house.
K-State All-University Open House student volunteers will host stations and encourage participants to take selfies with Instagram-themed frames and K-State celebrities.
Once guests have visited six locations and posted their photos to Instagram using the hashtag #KStateSelfieChallenge, they may return back to the Connect and Win table in the K-State Student Union to receive a prize. Challenge participants also will be entered into a drawing for prizes, including two mini iPads, K-State headphones, McCain tickets and Colbert Hill golf passes. Winners will be announced at 2:45 p.m. in Bosco Plaza. Guests must be present to win.
Be sure to follow @KansasStateUniversity on Instagram and use the hashtag #KStateSelfieChallenge when uploading selfies.
