Workshop for 2015 common book selection on April 23
Wondering how you can incorporate the 2015 common book selection into your work with students this fall?
On Thursday, April 23, the K-State Book Network, or KSBN, will host a workshop for faculty, staff, graduate teaching assistants and student leaders to discuss how Wes Moore's "The Other Wes Moore" can be part of coursework and event programming.
Tara Coleman, chair of the K-State Book Network, and other members of KSBN will share resources for Moore's book. Education, identity, personal choice, community and leadership are just some of the issues raised by "The Other Wes Moore."
The workshop will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the K-State Student Union Room 227. Participants are welcome to bring their lunch. RSVP by April 22 to reserve a seat and for an opportunity to receive a copy of "The Other Wes Moore" at the workshop.
