City of Manhattan to craft new off-campus student housing district, asking for student input

Submitted by Communications and Marketing

The city of Manhattan is creating a new zoning district for an approximate five block area immediately east of the K-State Manhattan campus and north of Aggieville. This district is intended to create new, higher-density, urban-style development, which will provide quality student housing in close proximity to K-State, Manhattan Christian College, Aggieville and City Park.

In crafting the concept and regulations for this district, the city is asking for input from students on their thoughts, opinions and life-style preferences as they relate to the development of this future district.

Students interested in contributing can fill out a quick survey and find out more information about the future district.
