Understanding digital data storage for federally funded research
The federal research deadline for achieving public access to scientific research data in digital formats is rapidly approaching. Could you benefit from practical advice, resources for writing data management plans and tips for evaluating data sharing services that meet federal requirements?
Please join the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, K-State Libraries' Center for the Advancement of Digital Scholarship and members of the Beocat cluster for an enlightening webinar.
The Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research, or ICPSR, will present "Meeting Federal Research Requirements for Data Management Plans, Public Access, and Preservation" from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, in the Hemisphere Room on Hale Library's fifth floor.
Representatives from all of the K-State participating sponsors will be on hand to answer questions following the webinar.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch; beverages and dessert will be provided. The event is free, but registration is appreciated. Please sign up here.
The consortium is a longtime leader in social science data curation. Repositories around the country are looking to the consortium when developing their own services/repositories that meet NSF and other funder requirements for data sharing.
If you can't make it on June 9, register here to watch the archived version.
