K-State Music Camp concert tonight
The K-State Music Camp will present a final concert tonight at 6:30 p.m. in All Faiths Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public.
The camp is hosted by the band program and features K-State alumni, faculty, graduate students and undergraduates as staff members. Special guest conductors for camp this year include Larry Blocher from Troy University and Jay Gilbert from Doane College. The students have been making music and enjoying the Manhattan campus with the K-State Band staff since Sunday, June 14.
The K-State Music Camp is now in its 22nd year and provides Kansas middle school and high school band students an opportunity to live and play at K-State, learning from outstanding music educators and staff. The campers performed with the Manhattan Municipal Band on Tuesday night and had a chamber music concert Wednesday afternoon.
