Biology graduate student wins award at national meeting
Emily Williams, a master's degree student in the Division of Biology, was awarded the Robert B. Berry Conservation Award at the joint meeting of the two major national ornithology societies July 31 in Norman Oklahoma.
This award is one of four made annually for an outstanding student presentation by the American Ornithologists' Union. She competed against approximately 70 other student presenters including senior doctorals students. Her talk was "Grasshopper Sparrows on the move: What explains within-season breeding dispersal in a declining grassland songbird?"
