Run Against Slavery: Last day for free shirt with online registration
The 4th annual Run Against Slavery, sponsored by K-State's Freedom Alliance, will start at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at Bosco Plaza. Check-in/registration will start at 3:30 p.m.
It is a run/walk to help bring awareness of the issue of human trafficking and raise funds for non-profit organizations involved in rescue and restoration of victims. This year's run will benefit Exodus Cry. There will be 5K and one mile route and prizes for the top male and female runners of each distance.
The registration fee is $20. Registration is available online and on race day, however, those who register online by Sept. 1 will receive a free T-shirt. Additional shirts may be purchased but only by Sept. 1. Leftover shirts from last year will be available to purchase on race day. There also will be either a raffle or silent auction.
Due to construction on campus, the race route will not be available online until race week.
