2015 All-University Career Fair
Prospective employers are showing a strong interest in Kansas State University students.
Representatives from more than 300 companies, industries and agencies are registered for the All-University Career Fair, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, and Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Bramlage Coliseum.
The fair is for K-State students, but is also open to members of the Manhattan community.
Cerner, Koch Industries and State Street are just a few of the employers who will attend the fair. A full list of participating employers can be found on the CES website. After logging into "My CES Account," click the "Career Fairs and Events" tab, and then select "Career Fair" to get an up-to-date list of registered employers.
With increasing job competition, it's important that career fair attendees dress professionally and bring multiple copies of their resume.
Some employers may offer qualified students next-day interviews, which will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 and Thursday, Sept. 24 in the K-State Student Union Ballroom.
A shuttle bus will run between the Union and Bramlage Coliseum every 20 minutes, from 10:45 a.m. to 4 p.m., both days of the career fair.
Also, CES hosts several events to help prepare students for the fair. Students can pick up gently used professional clothing and get their resume critiqued at the Career Closet & Resume Critique event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14 and Thursday, Sept. 17 in the Union's Cottonwood Room. Students will also get a chance to make last minute resume improvements the night before the fair at the Late Night Resume Madness event from 7-10 p.m Monday, Sept. 21 at the Alumni Center.
