K-State biologist to discuss wetlands conservation
David Haukos, associate professor of biology and unit leader of the Kansas Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, will give a public lecture at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, in 231 of Ackert Hall.
Haukos will discuss conservation of wetlands using a systems approach across space and time. His talk is being presented for students participating in the capstone course of the natural resources and environmental science, or NRES, secondary major and is open to the general public as part of the NRES Seminar Series. Undergraduate students interested in natural resources, environmental science and sustainability issues are especially encouraged to attend.
