Learn more about STEM teaching strategies Nov. 6
We encourage anyone teaching in a STEM field to join us from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, in the new engineering complex, 1109 Durland, for a seminar on STEM teaching. Associate Dean of Engineering Gary Clark will welcome those attending this informative session for STEM faculty members at our university.
This seminar will offer information, tips and successful strategies for those teaching in the STEM areas. Presenters include Stacey Kulesza and Eric Fitzsimmons, civil engineering; Chris Culbertson, chemistry; Ashley Rhodes, biology; Andy Bennett, mathematics; and Chris Sorensen and Amit Chakrabarti, physics. In addition, Kim Williams from horticulture will share scholarship of teaching and learning ideas for STEM classes.
Following the program, please plan to stay for a reception hosted by Associate Dean Clark and the College of Engineering.
