All invited to Nepal Night in appreciation of supporting the Nepal earthquake victims
In appreciation for the money donated for the Nepal earthquake that hit Nepal on April 25, the Nepalese Student Association, an official K-State student group, will host a Nepal Night from 5:45-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, in Forum Hall at the K-State Student Union.
All are invited to attend Nepal Night, which will showcase the Nepalese culture and tradition through dances, songs, dramas and delicious foods.
The Nepal earthquake made hundreds of thousands of people homeless, destroyed major infrastructure and killed more than 9,000 people.
Following the earthquake, Abhishes Lamsal, K-State graduate student in agronomy and the Nepalese Student Association president, launched an all campus fundraiser for the victims of Nepal. They accepted monetary donations weeks following the earthquake. Through the fundraiser, the Nepalese Student Association was able to raise nearly $10,000 that went straight to the earthquake relief fund to help provide food, water and medical supplies to the victims.
