K-State undergraduate researcher to present on XY chromosome variations Oct. 26
Michael Higgins, senior in journalism and mass communications at Kansas State University, will present his undergraduate research on Klinfelter Syndrome from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, in Town Hall at the Staley School of Leadership Studies.
The theme of the presentation will be focused on his experiences with XY chromosome variations, specifically Klinfelter Syndrome, and the ways it can affect males who live with it.
This presentation is open to the entire K-State community and an opportunity to learn about the disorder, as well as Higgins' personal diagnosis, which includes the national conference he attended with Johns Hopkins research to better self-identify and learn to adapt to the recent diagnosis.
