K-State to host annual Medieval Association Conference
Kansas State will host the Mid-America Medieval Association's 36th annual conference from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at the K-State Student Union.
Presenters from the region, the nation and abroad will deliver papers on the conference theme, "Encountering the Other." This interdisciplinary conference will feature work from historians, art historians, religious studies scholars, and literary scholars of English, French, Spanish, and Latin.
John McCulloh, professor of history at Kansas State, will present the plenary address on "St. William of Norwich as/and the Medieval Other."
A demonstration of “Combat Arms of the Hundred Years War” by the Medieval Swordsman Guild of Kansas City will conclude the conference in the Union courtyard beginning at 5 p.m.
