Kansas State Collegian wins two national awards
The Kansas State Collegian, K-State's student-run newspaper, received two national awards presented at the fall National College Media Convention. The Collegian won a 2015 Online Pacemaker Finalist Award for its website, social media presence and ability to cover breaking news online. The Collegian also won first place in the Pinnacle College Media Awards for the category of Best Online Main Page.
These are in addition to the six awards won previously this year from Kansas Collegiate Media and two from the Society of Professional Journalists.
The Kansas State Collegian is the daily newspaper at Kansas State University in Manhattan. Its content is reported, edited and produced entirely by students, and students make up the advertising sales staff.
It is the ninth-largest daily newspaper in Kansas and is published Monday through Friday when classes are in session during the academic year, and weekly over the summer.
