Praveen V. Vadlani, the Lortscher endowed associate professor of grain science and industry, presented "K-State's Role in the Future of Renewable Energy" to Professional Advantage students in the College of Business Administration on Nov. 19. The presentation, which was in the Cottonwood Room in the K-State Student Union, was co-sponsored by the college's Ethics Education Initiative.

Vadlani's research is primarily focused on the bioconversion of renewable biomass to value-added products, including advanced biofuels, chemicals and premium animal feed products. In prior years, he also has presented information about these activities to students in the Managing Triple Bottom Line MBA class in the College of Business Administration where he serves on the Business Ethics Education Initiative's Advisory Committee.
