Katie Azeltine, senior in fine arts, Overland Park, is a winner of the Dane G. Hansen Foundation logo design contest.
The foundation, a human services organization in Logan, hosted the design contest and invited graphic design students to participate from Kansas State University, the University of Kansas, Wichita State University and Fort Hays State University.
Daniel Warner, assistant professor of graphic design and Azeltine's instructor, invited a foundation representative to speak to the class and then return so students could present logo samples similar to what would happen in a professional setting.
Azeltine received an honorarium as the winning designer and the art department received $5,000 as the winning school.
