Candidate open forums for interim dean of the College of Arts & Sciences
The search committee invites K-Staters to open forums presented by each of the two finalists for the interim dean of the College or Arts & Sciences position. The finalists are Amit Chakrabarti, department head of physics, and Beth Montelone, associate dean for research.
The candidate open forums are scheduled:
• Beth Montelone — 2:30-3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, in the Alumni Center Banquet Rooms B&C
• Amit Chakrabarti — 2:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, in the Alumni Center Banquet Rooms B&C
K-Staters are encouraged to review the application materials and attend each open forum session in which candidates have been asked to share their vision for advancing the college as interim dean of Arts & Sciences, the opportunities and challenges they see, and the strengths they would bring to the position.
Application materials and interview schedules are available on the Office of the Provost search website. Please be prepared to enter your K-State eID and password to access the information. The open forums also will be streamed live and available on the search website as will a link to an online candidate feedback form.
Oral or written feedback on the candidates also may be directed to members of the search committee: David Procter, Louise Benjamin, Geraldine Craig, Darren Dawson, Wayne Goins, Soo-Hye Han, Michael Kanost, Emily Lehning, Hayden Murphey, Lorena Passarelli, Jeff Pickering, Lindsay Thompson, Joe Tinker and Sheila Walker.
