Graduate student places in global X-Culture competition
Submitted by Brent Fritzemeier
Allison Tanner, a Kansas State University graduate student in international relations, Wichita, was part of a team that received the honorable mention award for best overall report in last semester's X-Culture competition, an international business strategy competition that saw entries from 745 teams and more than 4,000 individuals.
Tanner participated in the competition as part of the curriculum of the Management 690 course in the College of Business Administration. She was assigned to a team of students who were tasked with developing solutions to real-world business challenges that come directly from Forcier Consulting, one of the competition's corporate partners. After working collaboratively throughout the fall semester, the team submitted a final report on their chosen case study, which was then reviewed and evaluated by the contest judges.
Tanner's team included students from various colleges around the globe, from countries including Ghana, France, India and Ecuador.
