Submitted by Communications and Marketing
Kansas State University police are asking for help with their investigation of a Feb. 15 armed robbery at 1610 Hillcrest, Building 10, in the Jardine Apartment Complex.
Anyone who may have seen anything around the area between midnight and 2 a.m. Feb. 15 is asked to contact police, said Sgt. Jessica Brooks of the K-State Police Department.
Brooks said individuals with tips on the case can remain anonymous by using the department's Silent Witness program at https://www.ksu.edu/police/silent/. The program uses an encrypted server, so people can safely transmit information to campus police without providing their identities. Information can be submitted by clicking on the header and following the instructions on the screen.
Campus police received a report of an aggravated burglary at around 1:17 a.m. Feb. 15. Three males dressed in black and wearing ski masks forced their way into an apartment in the building. The three residents of the apartment were at home. Police report that at least two of the intruders had handguns, and that one of the intruders hit an apartment resident in the head with a gun. That resident initially refused treatment from EMS, but later was taken privately to Mercy Regional Health Center for treatment.
Brooks said the investigation remains ongoing. Information also can be reported directly to campus police by calling 785-532-6412.
