Geography faculty candidate to discuss the Holocene Environmental History of the Dominican Republic

Maria Caffrey, research associate in the geological sciences department at the University of Colorado, Boulder, will give a public seminar at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in the K-State Student Union's Big 12 Room. The title of the presentation is "Holocene Environmental History from Laguna Saladilla, Dominican Republic: A Multi-Proxy Approach."
Caffrey is a candidate for the earth system scientist/physical geographer faculty position in the geography department, which is seeking someone to conduct cutting-edge research on earth surface processes, including fluvial systems and water resources.
The presentation is sponsored by the Beta Psi chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon and the geography department.
