Save the date: Meet your Military-Connected Students April 15
At K-State, we have the privilege of working with many military-connected students. These students are enrolled at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and in face-to-face and online courses. As teachers, advisors, administrators and colleagues, we all need to know more about this valuable asset to our campus community.
The Teaching and Learning Center will host Meet your Military-Connected Students from 1-4 p.m. April 15 in Hale Library's Hemisphere Room. This event will provide a better understanding and share strategies to help this demographic successfully maneuver through the college world, with the goal of degree completion and graduation.
Chairs of the event, Sarah Jane Fishback and Vicki Sherbert, and committee members Brent Anders, Sandy Avalos, Dominic Barnes, Wendy Barnes, Kelly Briggs, Katherine Brown, Royce Ann Collins, Laurie Curtis, Sara Daniel, Mary Devin, Rachel Harmon, Yvette Harris, Judy Hughey, Tonnie Martinez, Julia Mittelberg, Sandy Risberg, James Teagarden and Ashley Thomas; and the K-State Teaching and Learning Center, are planning an informative, interesting and educational afternoon with guest speakers representing the military students on our campus.
